A detail that has changed
If a law firm has moved, changed its phone number or office hours, stopped taking a kind of case or closed, email info@lawyerslist.us with its name and city. We check it and update the page.
A firm that is missing
If you know a law firm that should be on a list, send us its name, its city and the area of law it practices. “How we select” explains what a firm needs to be included.
If the firm is yours
Use the “For law firms” link to claim your firm's page, keep its practice areas, hours and description current and see the Pro and Top plans. If your firm is not listed yet, you can ask us to review it from there.
We cannot give legal advice
We are not lawyers and cannot answer questions about your situation, a deadline, a court date or what a case may be worth, and we cannot tell you which firm to hire. Please do not send us the facts of your case or any documents. If you are in danger, call 911.
A complaint about a lawyer
We do not handle disputes between clients and law firms. Raise the matter with the firm first. Complaints about a lawyer's conduct go to the attorney discipline office of the state where the lawyer is licensed, which is usually run by the state bar or the state's highest court. Many state bars also run programs that help settle disputes over fees.
